Ben Affleck

 Benjamin Gyza Affleck (born August 15, 1972) is an American actor and filmmaker. He has won two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards as well as an award called the Volpi Cup. This is the most prestigious award awarded to actors during the Venice Film Festival. As a youngster, he appeared in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984-1988). He later was a part of the independent coming-of-age comedy Dazed and Confused (1993) as well as a variety of Kevin Smith films, including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck was more well-known when he won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997). He also played a lead role in the film. Affleck then became a prominent man in studio films like the disaster film Armageddon (1998) and the war drama Pearl Harbor (192001), which he also starred in.
