Aisha Hinds is an American actress best famous for her role in the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Ever since her debut in 2003, she has proven her ability as an actress by giving remarkable performances in TV series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. The role she played as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first one to catch her attention. But it was her performance as feminist campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actor. Hind was also praised for the role she was playing in the role of Harriet Tubman within WGN America's period-drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Recently Hind finished filming on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is set for a release in the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj is an Army scientist, who died in March of 2017. Mother Vrinda was a homemaker. She has an older brother Aditya Rai who works as a merchant navy engineer. Bachchan's brother co-produced and co-wrote the script for Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir School was her school of choice in Mumbai following her move to the city together with the family. She finished her secondary education in Jai Hind College for a year before enrolling at D.G. Ruparel College in Matunga where she received a 90% score in the H.S.C. exams. The student spent the majority during her teenage years learning about classical music and dance. Zuology was Bachchan's favorite subject. Bachchan was a student at architecture in 1994, when she was named Miss World. Her title propelled her in the model industry. The model was offered lucrative contracts for Vogue magazine and PepsiCo Inc., along with the L'Oreal Paris spokesperson contract in 2003. In 1997, she starred in two celebrated parts: Iruvar and Aur pyaar hogaia. The two films challenged the traditional structure that characterized Bollywood movies at the time, which pushed Bachchan into the front of her own New Bollywood. Bachchan became the queen of Bollywood by her heartbreaking performance in the role of Paro in the film Devdas. She plays the love of her life for the character of Paro in Devdas (2002) the film that became one of Bollywood's biggest-hitting films. Devdas also happened to be the very first Bollywood film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. After that, she was rewarded with high praise for her role in Chokher Bali (2003) which is a dramatic thriller that was based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. In that same year she was also the sole Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan was in Gurinder Chatha's Bride and Prejudice. It was a dance and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan's star power and beauty made her the perfect choice for the first major English-language film. After releasing Provoked: A True Story in English, she went back to Bollywood and starred in the film Dhoom: 2 (2007). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star and the daughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that reunited two of the most powerful Indian people.
