However, unlike other churches where those members are involved in financial and other operational decisions the worshippers of Elevation Church have had no involvement the decision-making process, and don't know the amount that head pastor Steven Furtick makes in a specific year.Furtick's personal finances have been being a source of controversy recently, after the pastor recently gave his first public interview in seven years to the Charlotte TV station. In the interview, he remained an unwavering position on his decision to reveal personal financial details including his earnings from the church. He also said that he is aware of the need "to have integrity" in his private life as a public man of God and based on the fact that revealing specific information is not appropriate.
