Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. Doody made her acting debut in a Bond movie, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donavan played the role featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte was in Taffin (in 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody began her modeling career after she was approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was very determined not to do the glamorous work or doing nude. The rule was extended to the acting profession. If she came to the director's attention in the role in a James Bond film, Doody took on a part for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name appeared within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors from 1986. 38. Doody is only 18 at the time she played Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured an unimportant role in the form of IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. She played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her greatest role as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. She replaced Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's character. She then played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent alongside Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody returned to acting in 2003 with a minor role on the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody's roles include an appearance in a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust as well as an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Doody was later a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November she received the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and was awarded a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
