Bill Maher

 William Maher (/ma:r/; born January 20, 1956) is an American comedian writer, producer as well as a political commentator, actor and host on television. Maher is well-known for his HBO political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher (2003-present) and the corresponding late-night program called Politically Incorrect (1993-2002) initially on Comedy Central and later on ABC. Maher created the podcast Club Random in 2022. The show is well-known for its political humor and sociopolitical commentary. His subjects include politics, religion as well as correctness and mass media. His skepticism about religion were the basis for the documentary film he made in 2008 Religulous. Maher is a strong supporter of animal rights and has been a member of the PETA board since 1997. Maher is also on the advisory board of Project Reason.
