Brian Boitano

 Brian Anthony Boitano (born October 22nd 23rd, 1963) is an American figure skater from Sunnyvale, California. He was the 1988 Olympic Champion, 1986 and 1988 World Champion, as well as the 1985-1988 U.S. National Champion. He turned professional after the 1988 season. He participated at the 1994 Winter Olympics and placed sixth under new ISU rules. He returned to professional status. Boitano was inducted into the American Figure Skating Hall of Fame and the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1996. Boitano is a graduate of Marian A. Peterson High School in Sunnyvale, California. Boitano is an Italian American citizen with a family from northern Italy. He has been living in San Francisco since he was an adult. In 1984, he was second in the United States Figure Skating Championships. This resulted in him being a participant in 1984's Winter Olympics. He finished 5th in the Olympics, setting the stage for his success over the next four years.
