Carrie Marie Underwood (born March 10 1983) is an American country singer. After winning the fourth season in American Idol 2005, she became famous. The song she sang "Inside Your Heaven" made her the only country singer to be the first to chart atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the only solo country singer during the 2000s with one of the top songs on the Hot 100. Some Hearts, her debut album, was accompanied by the crossover singles "Jesus Take the Wheel" as well as "Before He Cheats". It became the most successful solo debut album of a woman in the history of country music. She received three Grammy Awards for the album and also won Best New Artist. Carnival Ride (2007), her second studio album had one of the most successful opening weeks ever by any female artist. The album also received two Grammy Awards. Her third studio album entitled Play On (2009) was preceded by her single "Cowboy Casanova" that had one of the largest single week up movements on the Hot 100.She was the second highest-selling album by a woman in 2012 and also won an Grammy Award with her fourth album, Blown Away (2012).
