 Courteney Bass (previously Courteney Cx Arquette; was born on June 15, 1964)[5][6] Is an American actress and filmmaker. Her starring role in the sitcom Friends (1994-2004) earned her international recognition. The show was nominated for seven Screen Actors' Guild Awards. One of which she was awarded. Gale Weathers, the horror film franchise Scream (1996-1999) was another award for her performance. She also appeared as Lauren Miller in the NBC sitcom Family Ties (1987-1989), Lucy Spiller in the FX drama series Dirt (2007-2008) as well as Jules Cobb in the ABC/TBS sitcom Cougar Town (2009-2015), the latter of which garnered her nominations for the Golden Globe Awards and the Critics' Choice Awards.Cox's other films include the action-fantasy Masters of the Universe (1987) and the comedy Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), the animated comedy Barnyard (2006) as well as the fantasy comedy Bedtime Stories (2008), and the independent drama Mothers and Daughters (2016). She owns Coquette Productions, a production company Coquette Productions, which was founded by Cox along with her husband David Arquette.
