George Strait

 George Harvey Strait Sr. (born May 18, 1952) is a famous American country music singer and songwriter, actor and music producer. Strait is often called the "King of Country", and is a well-known singer as well as songwriter, actor and music producer from the United States. His debut single, "Unwound", was released in 1981. This was the beginning of the popularity of the neotraditional genre. In the 1980s, seven albums from Strait topped the country charts. In the decade of 2000, Strait was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music, inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame and was awarded his first Grammy award for the album Troubadour. Strait was the CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989 as well as 1990 as well as 2013. He also took home the ACM Entertainer of the Year award in 1990 and in the year 2014. Strait has been nominated for many more CMA as well as ACM Awards and has earned more wins in both categories than any other artist.
