Hilary Erhard Duff (born September 28th 1987) is an American actor and singer. Numerous awards have been presented to her, including seven Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, four Teen Choice Awards, and two Young Artist Awards. At a young age she began her acting career. Then she was dubbed a teen idol. Later, she appeared in independent films as a variety of adult-themed characters. These included War, Inc. (2008), According to Greta (2009), The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2017) and The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2017), which was inspired by the Tate-LaBianca crime. From 2015 to 2021, Duff starred as Kelsey Peters in the longest-running original series Younger, for which she won two People's Choice Awards nominations. In 2022, she also produces and appears in How I Met Your Father as the lead role, Sophie.
