Jane Seymour, c. 1508 – 24 October 1537, was Queen of England. She was the third wife to King Henry VIII of England. The couple was married on May 30, 1536, and she passed away the following year. She was made queen following the execution of Henry's second wife, Anne Boleyn. After giving birth to her only child, the future Henry VI, the future King Edward VI, she died due to complications after giving birth. She was the sole wife of Henry to be invited to the queen's funeral, or to be buried beside him in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.Jane wasn't as educated as Henry's first and second wives, Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. While she was able to read and write, she was better in the management of household chores and needlework, which was more important for women. Her needlework was gorgeous and intricate; others were not.
