Jayne Mansfield

 Jayne Mansfield, born Vera Jayne Palmer, April 19, 1933 - June 29 1967, was an American actress and singer. Mansfield was also Playboy's Playmate. Mansfield, one of the most famous sex icons of the 1960s and 1950s, while she was contracted with 20th Century Fox. She is well-known for her public life as well as publicity stunts. Though her career in film was brief however, she had several box office successes and won both a Theatre World Award as well as a Golden Globe Award. Mansfield was a hit as the fictional actress Rita Marlowe in the Broadway production Will Success be a stumbling block for Rock Hunter? (1955-1956), which she reprised in the film adaptation of the same name (1957). Her other film roles include the musical comedy The Girl Can't Help It (1956) as well as the dramatic The Wayward Bus (1957) as well as the Neo-noir Too Hot to Handle (1960), and the sex-comedy Promises! Promises! (1963); the latter established Mansfield as the first significant American actress to perform in a naked scene in a post-silent film
