Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Kate Hudson (born September 12 1981) and also known by her moniker J.Hud is an American actor, singer, and talk show host. She has won numerous awards for her contributions to the fields of television, film as well as theater and recorded music throughout her career. Hudson was the second African-American woman, and also the youngest to receive all four major American entertainment awards: Emmy (Grammy), Oscar, Tony (EGOT), and Oscar (Oscar). In 2013, she was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Time listed her as one of the top 100 influential people around the globe in 2020.Hudson gained notoriety in 2004 as she was a finalist in the third season of American Idol, placing seventh. She made her film debut in the role of Effie White in the musical Dreamgirls (2006) which for which she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and became the youngest African-American to win in the category of competitive acting. Hudson signed with Arista Records in 2008 and released her debut studio album, entitled "Hunter", which was certified Gold in the US, UK and won the Grammy Award as Best R&B Album.
