Kelly Clarkson

 Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born April 24 in 1982. She is an American writer, singer as well as a TV personality. She became famous when she won the first season of American Idol in 2002, which earned her a recording contract with RCA. The debut single "A Moment Like This" was a top hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was the country's most-sold single in 2002. It was released as part of her debut album Thankful (2003) which debuts on the top spot of the Billboard 200. In an effort to revamp her image, Clarkson parted ways with Idol management and shifted to pop rock for her sophomore album, Breakaway (2004). It was accompanied by four US top-ten songs - the title track "Since U Been Gone", "Behind These Hazel Eyes" as well as "Because of You" - Breakaway sold over 12 million copies around the world and earned two Grammy Awards.Clarkson also took on more creative control on the third album of her studio, My December (2007), co-writing all of its tracks , and later becoming the album's executive producer. Her label was unhappy with the album's darker rock music and resisted promoting the album.
