Laura Leggett Linney was born on February 5, 1964. Linney has won numerous awards which include four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. She was also nominated for five Tony Awards and three Academy Awards. Linney made her Broadway debut in the year 1990. After getting Tony Award nominations for the 2002 revival of The Crucible, the original Broadway productions of Sight Unseen (2004), Time Stands Still (2010) The Musical, My Name Is Lucy Barton (2020), and the 2017 revival of The Little Foxes. She was awarded an Emmy Award in 2001 for Wild Iris, and she has since received Emmy Awards for the sitcom Frasier (2003-04), and the mini-series John Adams (2008). She was a part of the cast from 2010 to 2013 on The Big C on Showtime and won the fourth Emmy for that show in 2013. From 2017 until 2022, she was a star in Ozark, a Netflix crime series. Linney is also regarded as s an established actress in film. She made her debut in film by playing a small part in the film Lorenzo's Oil.
