Lindsay Dee Lohan (/'loU. LOH-@n/@n;[a] born July 2nd, 1986)is an American actress and singer. Born in New York City and raised on Long Island, Lohan was signed to Ford Models at the age of three. Having appeared as an actress on the TV soap show Another World at age 10 The breakthrough for her came in the Walt Disney Pictures film The Parent Trap (1998). Its success led to her appearances on TV's Life-Size (2000), Get a Clue (2002) and big-screen productions Freaky Friday (2003) as well as Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004). Her early work helped earn her stardom. The teen comedy smash Mean Girls (2004) established her fame as an idol. She was also in the television films Life-Size (2000) and Get a Clue (2002). Lohan was also a triple threat when she signed with Casablanca Records, releasing two studio albums: the platinum-certified Speak (2004) as well as the gold-certified album A Little More Personal(Raw) (2006). Also, she was a part of comedy films Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) and Just My Luck (2006).
