Mary Marg Helgenberger (born November 16 1958) is an American actress from the United States. Her acting career began in the late 1980s. She was first known for her role as Siobhan Ryan, the daytime soap that ran from 1982 to 1986. The role she played as Catherine Willows on the CBS procedural drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000-13) as well as the following TV film Immortality (2015) is among her most well-known roles. She reprised her role in the sequel CSI: Vegas Season 2, which premiered on September 29, 2022. Helgenberger is also famous for her performance as K.C. Koloski in the ABC drama China Beach (1988-91), that earned her the 1990 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series. She is also known for parts in the TV series Under the Dome and Intelligence, and the films Species (1995), Species II (1998), Erin Brockovich (2000), as well as Mr. Brooks (2007).Helgenberger was born on November 16 1998 in Fremont, Nebraska, to Mary Kay (nee Bolte) Nurse, as well as Hugh Helgenberger, a meat inspector.
