Robert John Downey Jr. (born April 4 1965) is an American actor and producer. His early career was marked by popular and critical success. After that, he experienced a period of substance abuse and legal troubles, as well as the return of commercial success later in his career. Time magazine named Downey among the top 100 influential people around the world in 2008. From 2013 to the year 2015, Forbes listed him as the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. He made his acting debut in Pound, his father Robert Downey Sr.'s 1970 film. The Brat Pack was his next film, which included the teen movies Weird Science (1985), and Less than Zero (1987).
