Ronda Jean Rousey, /'raUzi/, was born January 1, 1987. She is an American professional wrestler and actress. She is currently signed by WWE which is where she wrestles on the SmackDown brand and is the present SmackDown Women's Champion in her second reign. Her time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship is what makes her most famous. Roddy Piper is a professional wrestler and earned her the name "Rowdy". She was the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in judo at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Rousey started her mixed martial arts (MMA) career in King of the Cage in 2011. Following her joining Strikeforce and becoming their last Women's Bantamweight Champion before it was bought by UFC. Rousey was part of the first female-only fight at UFC 157, was their inaugural Women's Bantamweight Champion, and held the record for most UFC titles defended (6) by females, until she was surpassed by Valentina Shevchenko.
