Susan Sarandon

 American actor and activist Susan Abigail Sarandon (/s@’raend@n/ named Tomalin,) was born October 4 1946. She has received numerous accolades such as an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award as well as an Screen Actors Guild Award. In addition to being nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and six Primetime Emmy Awards, she also won nine Golden Globe Awards. She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2002 for her contribution to film. She starred in the 1974 television movies F. Scott Fitzgerald and "The The Last of the Belles" as Zelda Fitzgerald's surrogate. The following year she appeared in Janet Weiss, a musical comedy horror film called The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Sarandon was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for Atlantic City (1980), Thelma &Louise (1991) as well as Lorenzo's oil (1992) and The Client (1994), before being awarded the award for Dead Man Walking (1995).
