Michael Oher

 Michael Oher is an American offensive lineman in the NFL with a an estimated value of $16 million. Oher's story was told in the Academy Award-winning 2009 film "The Blind Side" starring Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. Quinton Aaron played Michael Oher's role. Michael Oher was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 28th, 1986. Oher was the child of Denise Oher (an alcoholic and crack cocaine addict) and Michael Jerome Williams (a father who spent a lot of time in prison). He was not disciplined nor was he received the attention he required because of his upbringing. He was a repeat student in both the first and second grades and attended 11 schools in his initial nine years as a student. When he was seven He was taken into foster custody. He was in a variety of foster homes and went through periods of being homeless. Oher's biological father, who was former cellmate of Denise Oher's brother was executed in prison when Oher was a senior high school student. At the time that Michael Oher was 16 years old, Sean Tuohy was and Leigh Anne Tuohy was appointed the legal guardians of Oher. Oher was given an educator who was to work with the teenager for 20 hours a week.
