Amy Adams

 Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974) is an American actress. She is known for her comedic and dramatic roles. Amy Lou Adams has been included three times on the annual ranking of the most well-paid actresses in the world. Her awards include two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for six Academy Awards and seven British Academy Film Awards. She made her debut on film in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) in which she played a support role. The appearances she made on television were followed by "mean girl" roles in feature films with low budgets. Her first big role was in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002) However, she was unemployed for a year afterward. Her breakthrough came in 2005 when she played a witty, pregnant woman in Junebug (2005). The independent comedy-drama earned her the first Academy Award nomination.
