Ashley Michelle Tisdale (born July 2nd, 1985) is an American actor and singer. In her early years she appeared in over 100 ads and had minor roles in television and theatre. She was a mainstream star as Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney Channel teenage sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005-2008). She also appeared in the High School Musical movie series (2006)-2008. The popularity of the series brought her to the attention of Warner Bros. Records and then the release of her first album as a studio album, Headstrong (2007), that was a commercial smash, earning a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Tisdale played the voice role of Candace Flynn in the Disney Channel animated series Phineas & Ferb (2007-2015).Tisdale's second studio album, Guilty Pleasure (2009), was released to less commercial success than its predecessor. Following the album's release, Tisdale parted ways with Warner Bros. Records. She started appearing in more films, and later returned to television in shows such as Hellcats (2010).
