Barbara Eden

 Barbara Eden, born Barbara Jean Morehead on August 23, 1931, is an American actor and singer. She is most well-known for her role as Jeannie on the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970). Roslyn Pierce, Elvis Presley's sidekick in Flaming Star (1960), Lieutenant JG Cathy Connors (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea between 1961 and) as well as Stella Johnson, a widowed mother in Harper Valley PTA (1978) are other notable roles. In the wake of the success of the film Eden returned to her character as Stella Johnson in a two-season television series, Harper Valley PTA.Eden's first public performance was as a member of the choir of the church, where she sang solos. She performed in local bands under the direction of Howard Fredericks, Freddie Martin as a teenager. She also studied theater at City College of San Francisco for one year. Barbara Huffman was her Miss San Francisco 1951 election. She was also Miss California in 1955.
