Farrah Leni Fawcett (born Ferrah Leni Fawcett; February 2, 1947 - June 25 in 2009) was an American actress. Fawcett was a four-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee as and the recipient of a six-time Golden Globe Award nomination. She rose to international fame after playing a starring part in the first season's Charlie's Angels. She was a regular on numerous TV shows in the 1970s along with Lee Majors, her husband who was a film and television actor. Six million copies of her iconic red swimsuit poster were sold within the first year of its printing. Her breakthrough character was that of a private investigator Jill Munroe in Charlie's Angels in which she co-starred with Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. The show propelled the three actresses to fame. After appearing in the show's debut season in the year 1976, Fawcett decided to leave Charlie's Angels.
