James Edward Franco was born April 19, 1978 , and is an American actor. Franco was nominated by the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in 127 Hours (2010). Franco is famous for his roles in movies that include Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy between 2002 and 2007, Milk (2008), Eat, Pray, Love (2010), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Spring Breakers 2012, and Oz the Great And Powerful (2013). Franco is famous for his work in TV and films alongside Seth Rogen. He has been in eight films as well as a TV series together, including the following: Pineapple Express (2008). He played the title character of the television biographical film James Dean (2001), in which he was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award as in addition to the Primetime Emmy Award.
