Laura Prepon

 Laura Helene Prepon (born 7 March 1980) is an American actor from America. She rose to fame with her character Donna Pinciotti in the Fox sitcom That's 70s Show (1998-2006). She is also well-known for her role as Alex Vause on the Netflix comedy-drama Orange Is the New Black (2013-19). The film debut of Prepon was in 2001, with Southlander, an independent drama. Other films she has made include the romantic comedy Come Early Morning (2006), the comedic Lay the Favorite (2012) The thriller The Girl on the Train (2016) as well as the drama The Hero (2017).Prepon was born in Watchung, New Jersey. She is the youngest of five children born to Marjorie (nee Coll), an educator at a high school and a gourmet home chef, and Michael Prepon, an orthopedic surgeon. Prepon was only 13 years old when her father Michael Prepon passed away in heart surgery in 1993. She went to Watchung Hills Regional High School, and then she studied at the Total Theatre Lab in New York City. Her father was Jewish and was of Russian Jewish descent. Her mother is Irish Catholic. Her maternal great-great-great-grandfather was Union Army General Joseph Bradford Carr.
