Mark Johnson

 American producer Mark Johnson was born December 27, 1945. Johnson was given the Best Picture Academy Award in 1988 for his work on Rain Man. The film was starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. The film was awarded four Oscars and was also nominated for an award called the Golden Globe. Johnson first began his career in show business in the year 1965, as an actor in the Spanish "Spaghetti Western", Brandy. In Spain the film, he lived for 10 years of his youth. He was an extra in films like Nicholas and Alexandra by Franklin Schaffner and Dr. Zhivago by David Lean. In his early years in the film industry, he was able perform minor parts in European westerns such as Ride and Kill and The Thin Red Line (1964). He graduated with an undergraduate degree at Virginia University in Drama as well as an MA from the University of Iowa in Film Scholarship.
