Sanaa Lathan

 American actress Sanaa McCoy Lethan was born on September 19, 1971. She is the daughter of actress Eleanor McCoy and film director Stan Lathan. After appearing on the television series In the House and Family Matters, NYPD Blue, Moesha and Moesha, her career took off. After appearing in the shows In the Home Family Matters, In the House, Moesha, and NYPD Blue Lathan gained further fame. She was also featured in the 1998 superhero movie Blade. Lathan then went into play roles in films such as Love & Basketball (2000), The Best Man (1999), Brown Sugar (2002) as well as Brown Sugar (2002). Lathan's Broadway performance in A Raisin in the Sun earned her an Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in musical. Following this performance, Lathan played the character Alexa "Lex” Woods in Alien vs. Predator. In 2008, she was offered an important role in the film The Family That Preys by Tyler Perry. Lathan returned to the stage in 2010, starring in the all-black performance of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Novello Theatre in London.She reprised her role as Robyn in the Christmas-themed sequel of The Best Man, in The Best Man Holiday (2013).
