Shemar Moore

 American actor Shemar Franklin Moore was born April 20, 1970. He is well-known for his role as Malcolm Winters (1994-2005), Derek Morgan (2005-2016) and Hondo (S.W.A.T. The entire series airs on CBS. Moore was also the third permanent host for Soul Train, from 1999 until 2003.Moore has won eight NAACP Image Awards as well as the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Drama Series for his role in The Young and the Restless. He was nominated for an People's Choice Award in 2016 for his work on Criminal Minds.Moore was born in Oakland, California, the child of Marilyn Wilson, a business consultant, as well as Sherrod Moore. Moore's father was African American and his mother, who was born in the Roxbury neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts, was of Irish and French-Canadian descent.scholarship to attend Santa Clara University where he played varsity baseball as both an outfielder and a pitcher for the entire four years. Moore holds an Bachelor of Arts degree in communication with a minor in Theater Arts.
