Abby Dowse

If you were born after the year 1980, it could be difficult to understand the extent to which ABBA was for the next 10 years. The year 1974 was the year that ABBA became the most popular group on the charts after winning the lauded Eurovision song award. The Eurovision award launched an unprecedented run of success which included eight smash records, as well as countless hits such as "Dancing Queen" "Fernando" and "Money Money Money". The songs were also composed by the group to accompany "Mamma Mia" that has been bringing in theaters all over the world in a flurry since the late 1990s. They're the second-most well-known musical group behind The Beatles and it is amazing. If you add solo artists, ABBA is fourth in sales, trailing behind the #3 Michael Jackson (450M albums sold) and #3 Elvis (555 million) and #1 (again), The Beatles (660 million). Each member of ABBA is value of between $200 million and $300 million. Yet unlike most other major bands of the past (even those that have had painful splits) ABBA has never put on an annual reunion tour.
