Marcus Aurelius

 Marcus Aurelius was one of the most loved Roman Emperors who believed in putting his empire over all other things. He was the last Roman Emperor during the "Pax Romana" which was a time of relative stability in Rome and peace. An avid follower of Stoicism his philosophical ideals and writings were compiled and preserved in a dairy for over ten years. The compilation is referred to by people around the world as the "Meditations. It was at a time that war and malady had weakened the Roman empire, Aurelius made sure that his actions met the expectation of his people by protecting his people from the wrath of the Germans and the Parthians. The powerful leader is believed to have spent his early years and youth focused on music and drama as well as science, literature and geometry. As a young man studying philosophy, he did so with fervor and began to develop an interest in law, which later made him the leader of the senate. During his reign as the Emperor, he faced the northern nemeses alongside his sons Verus and son Commodus and thus began expanding his empire's borders. Thirteen centuries later,
